Never thought shopping could be a sad event. I had two young girls fighting over who was going to wait on me to make commission. Finally I had to pick one and the other did not make the sale!! We also went into a phone store to look for an I-pod (later told that it would be more here than in US) The girl waiting on us was so excited that she "got" us and followed us around the whole store. She had a very sad look on her face when we asked for I-pod and said we did not want phones :( Bottom line here in China is if you speak good English you will get more of a sale from the Americans. One girl could tell me the significance of many items that I bought and it meant more to me.
Tonight our brother in law Jeremy's business friend from Guangzhou took us out to dinner for "real" Chinese food. Oh it was soooooo good!!! I love the food here, but I love Chinese. We had beef n mushrooms, and fish. We told us he would order the fish without the head and tail and we told him not to worry about it, that it was fine. :) It was a weird looking fish but tasted very good. Hope you enjoy the pics. We are so tired and going to bed. We have been getting up every morning around 6:00a.m and it is catching up to us!!
Tomorrow we go to the Island and the White Swan Hotel, our guide is going to bring us to the Jade/Pearl Market, and then our last night of sleep parent free!!!!! Love you all!!!!!! Kim
