Good morning all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. The Koverman's had there 1st Christmas together in China. We had a relaxing day. It rained most of the day so we spent it in the hotel room. Christmas wasn't the typical day we are all used to but it was good for bonding and playing with Lottie. She is doing much better with BaBa. The little peanut is also acting more and more like a little 2-year old. Her personality is starting to show and is getting into everything good and bad. It will be nice to get home so Lottie can play with her cousins.
Sunday we went to the Folk Art Museum. The displays were beautiful. There were many displays of handcrafted wood, Jade, ivory, porcelain, and embroidery. Pics to follow. Funny thing here in China, either we have the cutest little girl here or they all like to stare. It is very weird to us westerners to have so many people stare. Of course they could all be staring at me since I am so handsome LOL!
Today we go to the U.S. Consulate. We have to take an oath that we will care for Lottie and provide for her. It is so wonderful to see how much she has changed in the past week. Lottie now laughs, plays with her toys, and gets into everything.

So glad you got to spend Christmas together, with both of our adoptions, we knew about them, but had to spend Christmas apart and that was rough.
ReplyDeleteIt's culturally okay to stare in China, and so, you get stared at. It's just the thing to do.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
