We made it home!!

Well we had a few set backs! But we are home! On our forth day at the homestead and things are going well. Lottie did not do very good on the flight. She only slept for about 3-4 hours of the 14 hour flight. So we did lots of entertaining, walking the aisles, etc... I compared it to labor, it was painful (emotionally) but as soon as it was over there was such relief and we have already forgotten the hardships and pain of the flight home.

I was worried how she would do in a car seat, since carseats are not a thing in China!! :) As I am sure some of you saw in our post! However she did wonderful! She only cried a few min. but as soon as we were moving she was fine.

Charlotte is a very good two year old, all things considered. She sleeps through the night (did the entire time in China) Is having a little jet lag issues here at home, but is only getting up once and then back to bed. Thank The Lord that her sleeping issues are minimal. Getting her to sleep is a great challenge sometimes, however once she is asleep wow!

She is getting better with walking everyday! We have some visitors tonight and she showed off all her skills!! She was little miss independent! Not like we have seen at all!! She has been very very dependent on us being with her at all times! however tonight was a different story!

Charlotte has already been to Walmart twice and to the Doctor's office for a cold she is fighting. Oh another really hard time we are having is getting her to take her medicine. She spits it all out!! We are coming up with some tricks to help though.

So Matt and I have adjusted ok??? Jet lag is taking a major toll on us and I have another sinus infection I had to go to the doctor for today. I had one in China too!!! That does not make the jet lag easier!!! Tomorrow is my first day without Matt which is a little scary, however it will be good bonding time for me and Lottie.

One last issue we are having with Lottie is that she will go to anyone!! I mean anyone!! Well at least female and some male. Although it is hard we are now asking others to not hold her! She has to learn to relay on her mama and baba (Daddy). It breaks my heart to have someone else who she has known for 5 seconds to hold her and not want to come back to me! So temporary this is our request. I know many are asking to come over and we are so excited for you all to meet her. We just need a little time. We have so many family members and friends it can just be a bit overwhelming for her. So I will let ya know when we are ready to accept visitors! Trying to schedule them all out. lol

Thank you all so much for your support and following along on our Journey! We are all unpacked as of today! That makes a big difference! And my house is clean and groceries are stocked while we were gone thanks to my wonderful mother and mother in law!!!! Love you guys!!
Here is a pic of Lottie at home with a visit from Ben and Katy's family. Her cousin Carly is taking her for walks around the house!!! Too Sweet!!! More pics to come later of the transition to home!! Take care all!
