1st Home Study Visit

So December 10th we had our social worker come over to do our first visit. It was a very simple visit. Basically we just received a list of what we are to do. Lots of paperwork. But we knew going into this that is what it would be. Actually this paperwork is nothing compared to our Dossier(which is the paperwork process for China).

We are also considering choosing our agency while in the process instead of doing the home study and then finding the agency. Our social worker just stated that it would be easier so that they can follow the same guidelines that our agency wants. I would feel more comfortable doing this so that we know things are being done correctly to China's requirements.

So we are just in the process of filling out paperwork and making final decisions on picking our agency. I am excited however to start this paperwork over my Christmas break! Can't believe that we are starting the process.

We will have our next meeting the beginning of January! We will keep you posted on the latest happenings! Also please pray for those that are waiting for their children right now! I can only imagine how hard it must be to know who your child is and not be united with them! We will be to this point some day and will need lots of prayers too!
