Sweet Nora!!!!

You are going to see more post from me in which I will be advocating for children from China who have Visual Impairments (VI). The first I would like to host here is sweet Nora. She has captured my heart from the beginning. Such a beautiful little girl. Kathy would love to hear from you if you are interested in this sweet heart. Please see below.
Nora is 3 and it was initially believed she was only missing her left eye, however we just recently found out that she had retinoblastoma and atrophy of the eyeball. The little sweetie has undergone chemotherapy and the orphanage says she is cured. However it has left her blind. You have just got to see this sweeheart's video. She is very interactive, can point to her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, can sing songs and respond to questions. She must have had some eyesight at one time and I can only imagine how hard for this little one to now be blind. It is believed because of her loss of sight she is somewhat delayed however the staff feel her mental development is normal and that after the studying and training they have been giving her she is improving. Please, won't someone give her a chance?!! INDIVIDUAL LIST For more information, please contact: kathy@wiaa.org Grant funding available to qualifying families up to $2500.

  1. Hi Kim! Hope all is well! Lottie looks amazing! Just a suggestion... Maybe you want to advocate for kids with "Visual Impairments (VI)" rather than "Visual Disabilities (VD)"... VD has kind of another annotation, if you catch my drift! Peace!
