Our Daughter's Full Name

We were having such a hard time deciding on Charlotte's full name. Well at least I was, Matt says that it wasn't a hard decision! lol, nothing is with that man!!! Love him!!!

Well we decided that we just could not take another thing away from her as we turn her world upside down. We are leaving her entire Chinese name as her middle name.... Charoltte Li Yunyu . Okay she is not going to be very happy with us when she has to learn how to write out her whole name!!! Some have suggested to leave her full name for legal reasons and if she wishes to make things easier, have her sign Charlotte Li  for documentations etc... I guess this will be up to her!!!! :)

  1. We kept part of Parker's Chinese name as his middle name, too. AND we added my husband's dads name as his middle name! His Chinese name is You Yongbo, so we dropped the You and added Cao. Now his name is Parker Yongbo Cao Chu-Ba. Poor guy, he even has a hyphenated name! He won't be very happy either! I think we're going to drop the Cao for documents, too!

How close are you guys now? We're still waiting on TA. We had to resend a copy of our LOI to AAC overnight this week. I guess China wants an original now. So ask if you need to send that now so it won't hold up your TA!

  2. Hi Kim and Matt,

Matt (from Scotland) here (Marty is a nickname).
We decided to drop the Li from our Anna's name, although we kept the XiShi. We had discovered that the family name (Li) was given by the doctor so felt that our own family name was just as valid. Just our own point of view of course.

Can't wait to see your travel details.

    :-)

  4. Hi,
I stumbled on your blog from RQ site. Your beautiful daughter was the very first file we reviewed. She took my breath away. We seriously considered adding her to our family, but just didn't have that peace from God that she was ours. And we did find our daughter, we are waiting on LOA now. I'm so happy to see that this sweetie found exactly where she is suppose to be. Congrats!
